From the first message to work that goes out every week

Here's what working together looks like, the ways we can set it up, and how pricing works.

The process

How it usually goes, with one person the whole way through

Every project is a little different. This is the usual shape, not a checklist.

  1. 1

    A first conversation

Send a message or book a free 20-minute call. You tell me what you're working on and what you've already tried, and I ask a lot of questions. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.

  2. 2

    A plan

If you already know what you need, we scope it and start. If you don't, we start with the Blueprint or a short direction phase. I learn your audience, what you've published and what has worked, then we agree on what goes out first and what comes after.

  3. 3

    The right people

I bring in the editors, designers, writers or developers the work needs and manage them myself. You keep one point of contact.

  4. 4

Work that goes out every week

I direct and review everything before it reaches you, so you see finished work instead of drafts to manage.

    Reporting and adjusting

I report back in plain language, and we change the plan when something isn't working.

If you share a rough budget when you get in touch, I'll tell you plainly what it can cover and what I'd do first.

Questions people usually ask

Something else on your mind? Ask it when you get in touch.

Who actually does the work?

I lead every project myself and do a lot of the work directly. When it needs more hands, I bring in specialists I know and trust and manage them myself, so you always have one point of contact.

Is the first call free?

Yes. The first call is 20 minutes and free. If we need longer to scope something, that becomes a paid session or part of the project.

How do you work with other specialists?

I hire, brief and review them myself, and I'm responsible for the result. You don't manage them, and you won't get work from them that I haven't reviewed. If your team already has people, I work alongside them.

Do I have to commit to ongoing work?

No. You can start with the Blueprint or a single project and decide from there.

How do you bill?

Most of my work is billed hourly. For a defined project, like a Blueprint, a rebrand or a video series, I can quote a project rate instead.

Do you work with teams outside Colorado?

Yes. I'm based near Denver and work with clients remotely.

What kinds of teams do you work with?

Teams that need senior creative leadership but don't have it in-house. I've worked with brands and teams across venture capital and startups, technology, government contracting, nonprofits, healthcare and wellness, law, real estate and consumer brands.

Do you use AI in your work?

Yes, where it helps. I use it for things like research, first drafts and edit passes. The decisions stay with me: what we make, who it's for, and whether it's ready. Nothing reaches you until I've reviewed it myself.

Who isn't a good fit?

If you're still working out the basics of the business, or you're looking for someone to carry out instructions without weighing in, I'm probably not the right person. I do my best work when I'm trusted to have an opinion.

If this sounds like the right way to work, the next step is a conversation.

Tell me what you're working on.

Whether you need help working out what to do or someone to run work you've already planned, a few lines about your team and what you need is plenty. I read every message myself.
